Terms of service

The terms that cover every app KNTN LLC sells. Each app also has its own terms for product-specific rules.

Who we are

These terms are between you and KNTN LLC, an Ohio limited liability company that builds and sells the apps below. "We" and "us" in these terms mean KNTN LLC.

Apps covered

These terms apply to every paid app listed here. Some apps have their own terms too, and where they disagree about that app, the app's terms win.

Pointing Room

  • Pointing Room is free to use and supported by ads. The Personal plan removes ads for you in every room; the Team plan removes them for everyone in a room while you're connected to it.
  • Rooms are temporary: a room expires after a while without activity, and its votes go with it. Don't rely on Pointing Room as a record of your estimates.
  • Personal and Team are yearly subscriptions, billed and refunded as described below.

Payments and billing

Payments are processed through Stripe Managed Payments. For these purchases, Stripe's affiliate Link is the merchant of record: your receipt says the purchase was sold through Link, Link collects any sales tax or VAT, and your payment details go to Stripe and Link, not to us. Link's own terms also apply to the payment.

  • Prices are shown before you pay. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on where you are.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel, change plan or update your card from the billing portal linked in each app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • We'll tell you before a price change affects your subscription, and it takes effect at your next renewal.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 60 days of a payment if:

  • you didn't get access to what you paid for;
  • the app is significantly not as described, or doesn't work for its intended purpose;
  • you were charged twice, charged by mistake, or charged without your permission.

We don't refund a change of mind, unused or partial subscription periods, or a renewal you didn't cancel before the billing date. Email us with the address on your account, or ask Link directly. Refund requests are also subject toLink's refund policy, and where it gives you more than this page, it applies. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and include any tax you paid. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under the law where you live, such as the 14-day right of withdrawal in the EU and UK.

Using the apps

  • Use the apps lawfully and don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer them.
  • Your account is yours: keep your login secure and don't share paid access.
  • What you create in an app stays yours. You give us only the rights we need to store and show it back to you.
  • We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we do, we'll refund any unused prepaid time unless the suspension is for fraud or abuse.

No warranty

The apps are provided "as is". We work to keep them accurate and available but can't promise they'll be error-free or always online. Check anything important, like measurements, before you rely on it.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about an app is limited to what you paid for that app in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll email paying customers about significant changes before they apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, except where the law of your home country gives you protections that can't be waived.
