Privacy policy
How KNTN LLC handles personal data across this site and its apps. Each app's own policy covers what that app stores.

This website
kntn.dev has no accounts, forms or advertising trackers. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark theme choice. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (like IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you visit.
Link page analytics
links.kntn.dev counts visits and link clicks with our own cookieless analytics, so we can see which links people use. For each visit or click we record the page, which link was clicked, the referring site, any UTM campaign tags in the address, your approximate location (country, region and city, from Cloudflare), and your device type, browser and operating system. To count unique visitors without cookies we store a one-way hash of your IP address and browser made with a random key that's deleted at the end of each day, so visits can't be linked across days or traced back to you. We never store your IP address. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded. Analytics data is deleted after about 13 months.
Apps
Plywise and Stockpile have their own privacy policies listing what each collects and why:
Across all apps, we collect only what's needed to run your account: usually your email address, what you create in the app, and your subscription status.
Pointing Room
Pointing Room stores the rooms you create or join, the name you enter and your votes until the room expires. If you sign in (with an email link, Google, Microsoft or GitHub), we also keep your email address, name, sign-in provider and plan. Sign-in uses a cookie to keep you logged in.
On the free plan, Pointing Room shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads and, where you allow it, to personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, ads wait for your consent. You can turn off personalized ads inGoogle's ad settings, and read how Google uses data from partner sites in its policy. Ads aren't shown, and the ad script isn't loaded, for people on an ad-free plan. kntn.dev itself shows no ads.
Payments
Purchases go through Stripe Managed Payments, with Link as merchant of record. Stripe and Link collect your payment details, billing address and tax information under their own privacy policies; we never see your full card number. We receive your email, what you bought, and subscription and refund status so we can give you access and support.
Sharing
We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the services that run the apps (hosting, sign-in, payments and email delivery), with Google for ads on Pointing Room's free plan as described above, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete it, except billing records we must keep for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes and email paying customers about significant changes. See also our terms of service.
